This might look gross, but it was grossly delicious. Valentine's day night Cameron made cookie dough while I put Joshy down for the night. It was an awesome night in. (FYI it has two hearts in it and says Cam + Katie.) We don't dare go out on V-day here in Los Angeles: last year I was downtown working all day (while pregnant,) and then tried to go out and get take out mexican. Nothing like mexican food on V-day to make you feel bloated and unsexy--and nothing like being pregnant to make you feel bloated and unsexy. Anywho, it took me an hour and a half to drive 2 miles, pick up the food and drive 2 miles back home.

He had another nasty cold that lasted for 2 weeks...and then he just stopped sleeping and stopped eating. I took him to the doctors office after he cried uncontrollably over nothing for half the morning. And of course, as soon as we got there he was cooing and flirting with all the doctor's and nurses. Our doctor even said "wow you are making your mom look like a fool!" Well, he got his once he began to check Joshy's ears: he had to have me come and pin down both his arms and while shining his light in his ear, Joshy gave him a swift kick to the throat. His response " ::catching breath:: well, he definitely has an ear infection. Give him as much tylenol as he needs." And, he really loves the taste of his antibiotics. He's also obsessed with the little dropper syringe. 

I told you, he is obsessed. He just bites it in his mouth and crawls around with it.

Weekly trip to Trader Joe's. We love having our grocery store right next to Cam's office so we can see him every time we go! Look at how excited that face is.

We had a date night/family night at Century City mall to hit up some Courtyard Cafe <--amazing. Right next to the cafe is a kiddie jungle gym type of thing sponsored by the museum of natural history. So it has this big creepy fake Komodo dragon. Joshua loved it

Family hike with the Turners in Pacific Palisades! Beautiful views of the ocean, Santa Monica, Malibu and LA. Oh, and it was cloudy, not smoggy.

Trader Joe's...again. He's always so happy when we're there. I am too...sigh. And yeah, if you couldn't tell, he got his chubby cheekies from me. 

So, Joshy has been crawling like crazy. The same day he started crawling he decided he could also pull himself up to a standing position on all the furniture. Needless to say we get about 4 bonked heads an hour around here. He's just too much of a man cub and growing up way too fast.

Some of Snuggie's favorite things are 

• books--doesn't matter what other toy is in the room if there is some sort of reading material he makes a bee line for it
• Cameron--loves him more than me now (but he does say "mamamamama" when he's crying and distressed, what up!)
• balls--Every mom with a boy has said, "Katie, seriously, boys love balls." I didn't really understand how. much. boys. love. balls. 
• destruction--he loves to feel like he is in command of the universe by destroying everything around him.
• attention-- of course. He always has. He loves flirting with hispanic and black women the most. What do you expect?! He was born in LA. But he just about loves anyone who will give him attention and tell him how cute he is. Me too. 
• food--this kid is a good eater! I make him baby food and he will eat anything that is mixed with a little bit of fruit. I mean, for heaven's sake he eats prunes. Prunes! I'm very pleased. It makes me feel like a good cook.
